EXHIBITION AT NOTTINGHAM CASTLE
" 1968 – A Gateway for Change "
Social movements are re-shaping the world we know. From the environmental activists who block the construction of pipelines to Black Lives Matter activists who are re-making the conversation about racial justice, the 21st Century has no shortage of causes for social and economic justice. The exhibition explores how the change of 1968 inspired a generation to act for a better world. Find out how people came together across difference to fight for justice and take part in our new ‘engagement’ space to tell us what protest now means to you.
This project is the collaborative work of NTU History and Illustration students. Our group is requested to respond to the resulting aftermath of the civil rights(Anti-Racism) protest in Nottingham. So we decided to base on the Anti-Colour Bar Campaign to make an animation. For the division of work, I was mainly responsible for continuously making contact with history students to determine the accuracy of the content, set up a specific storyboard and complete the first two parts of the animation, which were the beginning of the story and the reason for the protest. I was also responsible for making arrangements for the exhibition.
